Quick update

What’s up kings, queens and gender non-specific royalty? You may have noticed my posting slowed down over the month of September. When I started this blog, I wanted to keep a consistent writing and posting schedule. The last month has been a bit tricky.

I went on vacation, attended Hold Your Ground fest, dealt with recovering from Covid, looked for a job, and generally just got run down with a whole bunch of bullshit. I’ve not been able to keep up with the 30+ minutes a day of writing I had been doing this summer as a result.

I’ve been kicking myself in the ass over this. The one thing everyone tells you about growing an audience is that consistency is key. The anxiety around that has honestly made it harder to write. I’m trying to be patient — reminding myself to do the work and trust the process, but the output isn’t coming as fast as I’d hoped. Trying to get back in a routine after a month off is hard, and I’ve depleted my stock of half-finished shit to polish off and pump out quickly.

I don’t know what my posting schedule is going to look like over the next few weeks. Real life stuff like health concerns and looking for a job are still my main priority. I’m definitely going to have the September review roundup done, but I’m not sure how much else will drop in the next two weeks. I’m trying to focus on consistency and the process instead of getting frustrated with lack of results. I know shit will be up and running smooth again if I do that. I hope you can bear with me.
