Sorry to my paid kings for the late content. I’m hoping to put up two paid podcasts in April as a make-up. This one was recorded at the end of March. It’s a little non-timely given the subject matter but I think the ideas still more or less hold up.
I started this on a tirade about Zulu, Gel and hardcore being “too big” before having a come to Jesus moment 2/3 of the way through. Gen-pop is going to get the edited, polite version of this where I try to refrain from name’n’shaming/slandering people, not because I’m afraid to hurt feelings but because by the end of this I arrive at a much more positive perspective. Paid gang, however gets to hear at least an extra 20 minutes worth of me flying off the handle, gossiping and talking shit.
In general, this is my raw, unfiltered perspective on the unceremonious end of the pro-core era, in which I start getting misty-eyed about Chris Colohan an hour in. If that sounds like fun, consider pledging a paid subscription below!
